About Me

Welcome to my page, I'm Makayla! I'm here to offer evidence-based, CAPPA trained Doula services to women and birthing people in the Northern Colorado area. I'm a part of the LGBTQ community, and I have a passion for helping empower people to feel safe and in control of their births. I'm a mother of two, and my 'Why?' reason comes deeply from my daughters. After my first birth experience was less than ideal, I was left feeling unheard and without many choices in my care during birth. I prepped and educated myself for my second birth, and had a dramatically different, and incredibly empowering, positive birth. I knew at that moment I wanted to help others have a powerful and positive experience, and to help avoid a negative one. My first Doula baby was a year after I had my youngest daughter, and since that day, I was called to birth work, and have a deep passion for this career. I completed my CAPPA training in 2024, and I'm in the process of continuing my education to advance my skill sets. The statistics behind Doula supported births speak for themselves, and adding a Doula to your support team is something I feel everyone should have the opportunity to do.  My aim is to support all birthing people, ensuring that you feel informed, safe, and confident making decisions throughout your labor, birth, and postpartum care. With a focus on personalized care and advocacy, I am dedicated to helping you have a positive and empowering birthing experience. I'm honored to be apart of your support care team, and I look forward to working with you.
