"Why is a Doula valuable to my care experience?"

Every women and birthing person has a unique story. There's only one you, and your labor and birth story are individual to you, your body, and your baby.

My role as your Doula is to inform, support, and empower you; so you can feel confident and safe making decisions about your birth journey. Doula support ranges from emotional and physical support, pain relief and pain management strategies and tools, education and advocacy skill building, a silent companion, or a cheerleader. Doulas are highly recognized across the globe as valuable wells of knowledge and empowerment for birthing people everywhere. When you are informed and feel safe, you have more positive birth hormones working in your favor! I will hold space and allow you to feel through anything you need to. Birth can be quite an intense array of emotional turbulence, we will wok through and process together as you bring your new little earthside.
Providing a calm, judgement free, evidence based space for education and advocacy allows me to help you best achieve your birthing wishes. A Doula is an addition to your care team, we work along side your providers (OB, Midwife, Hospital, Birth Center, Homebirth) to help make your birth as positive and safe as possible, while providing you the tools to advocate or be provided advocacy when you feel you need that support from me.

"What does your support style look like?"

I offer a variety of support centered services, including prenatal consultations to help you envision what your wishes, expectations, and goals are for your birth and postpartum recovery process.
We will line out what support looks like to best help you, what makes you feel safe, and cover any questions you may have about the labor and birth process, as well as what all your different options are when it comes to your labor. I want you to feel informed and empowered to make your own decisions, and to advocate for yourself confidently. I fully am in your corner, by your side, vibe checking and maintaining the peace and safety bubble of your room the whole way through to best fit your needs and wants;
I've got you covered.
If you are in a partnership, I plan to educate your partner on how to best be able to help you through the ebbs and flows of labor as well; as this is an intimate journey you are sharing together, creating or expanding a family. We will also cover postpartum recovery support, and breastfeeding resources.

I'll be with you every step of the way, this is your birth journey, your story, but you don't have to do it alone.

"Why should every birthing person have access to a Doula on their care team?"

Doula work is important for both mom and baby in several ways, the most significant being the statistically backed evidence that shows having a Doula on your care team can lower the risk of interventions and improve mental well-being during labor and birth.

Doulas provide both physical and emotional support, which can be a game changer in
labor and pain management. The term was once believed to mean "mother to mothers."

Having a Doula on your care team is empowering and brings a less stressful, more educated sense of confidence in your decisions during labor and birth. I am very passionate about Doula work, and the benefits it brings are truly incredible, holding immense potential for a positive birthing experience.

Statistics also highlight a glaring issue in the United States healthcare system, where we have one of the highest cesarean and complication rates of any developed country. The breakdown in the health system is not the fault of your local providers; it's a much larger systemic failure, and the trickle-down consequences have become accepted as a normal risk. Having an advocate by your side to help educate you and support your decisions can help lower the chances of unnecessary interventions taking place.

2 Prenatal OB or Midwife appointments I will attend with you, 2 Prenatal Visits, Your labor and birth journey, 1 postpartum overnight support, 2 postpartum visits
Just The Birth (ish)
900$
1 prenatal visit still required to educate and discuss plans and goals ahead of time, and your labor and birth journey. Option to add on 1 Postpartum visit as well if desired
